FAQs

The theme for the 2025 conference is "Building Bridges," which will take place at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel, located at 5711 W Century BLVD, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The conference aims to provide workshops and specialty training programs for parents, professionals, practitioners, educators, leaders, and more. Over 50 in-person workshop sessions will be held, and every breakout will have workshops or specialty training programs.

The conference strands include Engaging Parents in The Classroom, Fatherhood Program Curriculums and Models, Foster Care and Child Welfare, Health and Mental Health, Practitioner Engaging Parents, Research Related Work with Fathers and Families, Working with Fathers in the Justice Systems, and Youth and Young Parents.

Collaboration is the key to success, and the conference is collaborating with many talented individuals to host real-time roundtable sessions to enhance professional and parent development engagement strategies. The feedback to move the Men2Men and Women2Women Cafe sessions to the first evening is essential to increase opportunities to network on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Diversity is the best word to describe the international conference. Attendees represent diverse professional fields, such as child welfare, early childhood, marriage and family therapists, social work, criminal justice, psychologists, educators, counselors, family service workers, fatherhood practitioners, public policy, and foundations. The diversity of attendees' ages ranges from teens to our eldest attendee, who is 104 years old!

In 2024, we had the honor of hosting attendees from Canada, Scotland, England, Ghana, South Africa, Australia, and throughout the United States. The diversity of culture is progressive at this international event. One final theme of our conference is the sense of bonding. We have a platform that has forged friendships, professional colleagues, resources, and a deep understanding of community, all seeking to help others. Building Bridges 2025 is waiting for you!

The conference is not just for men or fathers only. It is one of the more diverse events, not just by gender, but by the diversity of backgrounds. The FFCA is honored to host researchers, elected policy-makers, and CEOs of for-profit ventures and blend with nonprofits, interfaith, and local to national government attendees. About 90% of attendees work helping mothers and fathers, oversee programs working with children and families, and ensure staff gets valued professional development support for continuous quality improvement. Most seek ways to enhance approaches towards fathers and make a difference in the lives of children, parents, families, and communities.

The conference is engaging because it is entirely live and in real-time. In 2025, the conference will focus on in-person attendees. We will host three workshops and general sessions as hybrid options to go with the fifteen workshops daily.
